That’s right! Our new blog design is finally here and we can’t tell you how excited we are! We’ve been working hand in hand with our friends  and as you can see, we’ve given our blog a fresh new look, added some bells and whistles, and really tried to showcase the Digital Inspirations. We have so many new and exciting things planned for the future, and we think you’ll love all of the new additions to our blog!

That being said, one thing everyone knows (or should know) about Technogati, is how much we truly value your feedback. Not only does it help us grow and improve as a inspirational source, it also allows us to see things from your point of view, and in turn, optimize what we do, to meet your needs.

So we thought, what better way to launch our blog and get your valuable feedback, then by doing something fun and giving you a chance to win a prize in the process!

So here is how the contest is going to work.

1) Underneath this post, leave a comment with some constructive feedback on things you like and/or dislike about the new design. Comments such as “The new design rocks!” or “The new design sucks” will not be accepted, because those kinds of comments aren’t enough to help us improve its design or functionality. An example of the kind of constructive feedback we are looking for is “I really like the way you showcased your categories,Tags in the header. It makes them a lot easier to find” or “I don’t really like the placement of the sidebar widgets I think you should move the Blog Roll up more.” These kinds of comments will help us tweak our blog to make sure we make it the best it can be! (Also, be sure to put your Twitter name somewhere in the comment)

2) Follow us on Twitter here.

3) Subscribe Technogati via RSS Feed or vial Email free subscription.

4) Tweet the following message from your Twitter account

“Just entered to win an WordPress Blog Setup or $30 by giving @Technogati feedback on their new blog design! Go here to enter!  http://bit.ly/clVT48

It’s as simple as that! Then on March31st , 2010 one lucky winner will be randomly chosen and given the option to take either a $30 or WordPress Blog Setup.  The winner will be announced on our blog the following 1st April 2010!

We look forward to hearing what everyone thinks, and thanks again for always providing us with such valuable feedback!

I think your new design is really clean. One thing I would suggest is to center the navigation on the top. It just looks a little weird if you have a large screen resolution.

I don’t want to be in the Contest – let somebody else get to win the prize that might need it more than I do :)

I do however want to congratulate you on your new design. It’s very clean and simple as well as the top-menu is really easy to notice and hopefully that will increase your pageviews as wel.

Hi Klaus,
Firstly thanks for your feedback about new design of the Technogati.
There is no compulsion to join the contestant race.
Hope you’ll enjoy the stuff at TG.

Hi surender, the design is clean and as some one suggested there appears to be a scrollbar so its not centered yet using chrome.Secondly didnt like the header dark blue colour something light or the color of Recent discussion links would be ok and change the color of shoutmeme background the dark blue hits my eyes man …and also you can add google buzz, retweet and digg buttons on each post.Just my views

Hi Surender… I am assuming you are using FF or Chrome because it looks good. Clean layout and good color combination. However, I think you need to make the blue background lighter. One more thing, pls. do check your site using IE 8- The header font size needs to be tweaked as it looks odd. You might need to use HTML or CSS tag to hold the font unstretchable. The same thing on the footer as the labels shrink to the center and the fonts become smaller. You should also move the Header and Footer links to the right, so that the “Home” menu will align on the big “Technogati.com” image, and fill the empty space between the search box and the “Work” link.

P.S. I’m done with the contest mechanics, but need a small tweak on the no. of characters to be tweeted. One last thing, I promised to make a review of “Shoutmeme”- my apology for being late. The review is coming. I understand your vision on this, but I’m kinda busy at work on the past few days. Looking forward for your success…

You new design is clean and very user-friendly. But I don’t think that a stretching template will be accepted by your readers with proper vigil. So, think over it.

hi, I am a subscriber to your blog via email… congrats on your new layout but I have several personal comments hope you dont mind. first, the total width of the page is too wide (i am viewing in chrome), may be you could lessen the main content width. second, the logo is below the menus, which make the menu more like an ad rather than a meu (for me). Third, the advertise here 125 x 125 does not look good.. much better if they are align. well I guess thats it. overall its good just need more tweaking i guess.

i love the neat layout except that I have the hard time reading because I have to pane my browser to view your sidebar.. I think you should look into it.. not all have widescreen monitors … keep it up…
