Google is expanding Map usability in the world. Google Maps launched in Australia in February 2007 and till today Google map has become the part of daily use.

From within Google Maps you can now search for a local plumber or chemist; getdriving directions to a friend’s place; check out the location of a restaurant before making a booking with Street View; view terrain and satellite data for a given area; and even plan travel using public transport in some cities in Australia.

On 6^th July Google has introduces new feature on map. Google map has become the best resource of information for Aussies.Now it is very easy to find any rented house or any flat or even any bedroom in Australia  using Google Map.

According Google “You can check it out by entering a search like ‘real estate crows nest’ and clicking through to search real estate listings. A marker will appear on the map for every available listing, using our new search results feature, so you can get a really good idea of the distribution of the properties for sale or rent. This also means you can perform a search and see all the properties for sale close to, for example, a local school you’re interested in your kids attending. You can click on each marker and each small circle to get more detailed information about the property, including the listing agent’s website and contact details.”

In January month New York City’s official marketing, tourism and partnership organization, NYC & Company, announced new resources to improve the experience for visitors to and residents of New York City.
NYC launched nycgo.com and the Official NYC Information Center, both of which use many Google products and APIs. Using these new tools, you can plan a trip to NYC at home, transfer details to your cell phone, and then learn more at a real-world information center.
nycgo.com features editorial content to help you find the best places to visit in NYC. The site uses the Google on pages about restaurants, hotels, and events. You can select a place mark on a map, and then send the place to your phone via text message. When you open the text message, your phone’s browser launches m.nycgo.com, which uses the Google Maps Static API to render an image of map. The mobile web page has a link that invokes Google Maps for mobile (or otherwise allows the user to download Google Maps) so that you can get transit, driving, or walking directions while out exploring the city. Google Maps on iPhone and Android can both be invoked using standard maps.google.com URLs, whereas other mobile operating systems require specialized handling.
