It’s not an unprovable thing that Social Networking will replace Search Engine one day. For finding a job, social media is much better as tips you share here.

I’m currently using twitter and have a profile on LinkedIn, although not looking for a job now.

There are so many sites available where you have to upload your CV and they have many companies who look at them. I have not checked to see if the companies use social media for advertising the users.

LinkedIn always know as a professional social network but Twitter recently get good activity in this field. There are to many company using twitter to recruit new people. If you search with ‘Job’ keyword you will see lot of web based recruiting service offering job. I think Facebook, yet not a good place for job hunting. I don’t know what I do there. Nobody care anything, every now and then getting invitation, cause, request and other junk thing. Twitter is lot better and simple.

I don’t think Indian companies are taking Twitter and Facebook seriously (most of them are blocked in office) so it is very hard to find job from these websites. Linkedin is superb website for finding jobs and work very well in India.

For freelancing work, Twitter and Facebook works well inIndia.
