I’m using Thesis theme from almost 4 months and after using it I can admit that it is must have theme. I know there are many other beautiful themes out there though they lack many features which thesis gives you.
In simple words :
SEO
Typogrpahy
Desired layout
More over there are thousands of tutorials available which will help you customizing Thesis by adding single piece of code..Though in case if you are not good with coding, there is nothing to feel bad about it. Thesis is one such plugin which looks good even without customization. Though take care of sidebar and selecting the layout will play a major role.

Hey, I was reading Matt Cutts article on page rank sculpting and as per him, thesis theme is really simple to customize and he was bored of old green blog.
I wonder, he didnt mention SEO or any other feature for thesis.

Wow! nice research. Never knew Thesis Theme is so widely used by Pros. But these pros modify their theme. Isn’t it?
By the way you commented on my blog that I use Thesis Theme. But I do not. It may look like thesis but it is not. It is a modified form of a very old theme.
Now a days lots of theme look similar. OR may be Thesis is a special styling of theme and other follow this styling.

Very good findings…Thesis has become a popular theme since the past 6 months. It is good in SEO and other customizations. But, it is not that the people who use Thesis theme are the only professional bloggers. There are a lot many people who don’t use thesis them and are professional bloggers.

All though I am really not overly concerned (or concerned at all) in regards to what platform other bloggers use, I will say I do love the Thesis theme.
It’s just too bad I recently had a blog re-design done and hardly feel like playing that game again, so it looks like the Thesis theme will have to wait a little bit for me to start using kit. As much as I really like it.

I’ve always liked the Thesis theme for it’s typography. Thought of buying it but later I designed one similar theme by myself. But still I won’t get the numerous options that Thesis provides.
