I like an offline blog editor due to following reasons :

Write Offline

You can write your blog posts offline without having an internet connection.Your hardwork never goes into the hell if you work offline.Sometimes your hosting provider can go down or your connection can break while you writing  blog post online. If you write offline, your blog post won’t be lost because it lives on your hard drive until you hit the publish button within the offline blog editor.

Speed Matters

An offline blog editor is best tool for writing blog posts offline without any interruption like browser loading time delay etc.

Upload Video and Images Easily

While writing my blog posts online,I suffered many times to upload images or videos easily.Online editor takes time to upload an image or video clipping but if you write your blog post using offline blog post editor like Window Live Writer, you can insert an image or a web clipping easily without any loading delay.

Manage Multiple Blogs

An offline editor provides the option to manage your one or many blogs at single place. You can write your blog post for your multi blogs, your posts saves in your hard disk. When you want to publish your any blog post, you need to login into your related blog account.

I blog in Word and copy/paste. It’s always faster, more reliable, and also serves as one of my backups.

This is might be a reason just I think about haha: I can use the right click when using an offline blog editor. Actually, using a desktop app is always faster, more stable and more effective than a web app. It’s not only right for blogging, bet that you can do more things with MS Word than Google Docs.

I have started to do the same with my blog. Write a post (wording) and create the images that are required. I first upload the images and get the links ready and then just upload everything.

What I eventaully did is install WP locally on my laptop and do everything there and then just copy all to my blog online.

I always write my post in a Word doc, for spell check and because I don’t want to lose it or accidently publish it before I’m ready.

I cut and paste all my comments into Word doc to check the spelling as well before hitting Submit.
