You need to install  this comment management plugin in your Window Live Writer.

Follow the steps to install this plugin:

Step: #1

Download the WordPress Plugin to your desktop and then copy it to the plug-ins folder in your Live Writer installation directory.

Step: # 2

Move the Plugin DLL File into    :Program Files—Windows Live—Writer–Plugins

Check the sidebar of your Window Live Writer dashboard and find the link “Comment Management”.You can moderate the comments of your blog under the link “Comment Management” and can delete,edit or approve the comments.

I think this is definitely a convenient way to manage comments. I personally use intense debate and it is also easy to manage there as well. Any program to manage can be a good thing.
