Hello, you know, I frankly believe Twitter is a little bit over hyped. Yes it may be an effective way to promote your business if you are among the big boys. But, if you someone who’s about to start out with life, Twitter is just not worth it. The cacophony of spam to me is just too deafening.

As mentioned in the first point, it is very important to create a sound profile. Since this is the landing page for your business, a proper profile picture and a complete biography are very important. In fact before starting on Twitter, one should work on the profile page.
