Stress can play a major role in a person getting heart disease, high blood pressure, strokes, anxiety attacks and a lot of other illnesses. People under a lot of stress tend to have weaker immune systems, thus becoming more susceptible to disease than people with normal amounts of stress. Often times people turn to alcohol, drugs, overeating, tobacco, and suicide because of stress. The fact is, stress kills.
A growing work force of home-office laborers and entrepreneurs, armed with computers and smartphones and wired to the hilt, are toiling under great physical and emotional stress created by the around-the-clock Internet economy that demands a constant stream of news and comment.
Of course, the bloggers can work elsewhere, and they profess a love of the nonstop action and perhaps the chance to create a global media outlet without a major up-front investment. At the same time, some are starting to wonder if something has gone very wrong. In the last few months, two among their ranks have died suddenly.
Two weeks ago in North Lauderdale, Fla., funeral services were held for Russell Shaw, a prolific blogger on technology subjects who died at 60 of a heart attack. In December, another tech blogger, Marc Orchant, died at 50 of a massive coronary. A third, Om Malik, 41, survived a heart attack in December.
Micheal Arrington, the founder of TechCrunch says on NYT:
“I haven’t died yet,” said Michael Arrington, the founder and co-editor of TechCrunch, a popular technology blog. The site has brought in millions in advertising revenue, but there has been a hefty cost. Mr. Arrington says he has gained 30 pounds in the last three years, developed a severe sleeping disorder and turned his home into an office for him and four employees. “At some point, I’ll have a nervous breakdown and be admitted to the hospital, or something else will happen.”
So this is not a miner problem but the negligence of this problem can cause many disorders and interrupted functionally of the body.

Most recently I have been working to try and reduce my stress level, blogging seems to actually help me relax from my daily business operations stress.
I de-stress by intentionally spending an hour away from the computer doing something else, like playing a game with my daughter. Usually the creative juices are flowing and I’m anxious to get back and type.
Just write about what’s really passionate to you. You will be free from the stress

There you go…a great post with small small points! But they are as important as life, because sitting infront of computer for hours is in any case cause us a bucket full of stress. And we get involved and involved…that we don’t want to get up and do something good for our body and soul. Stress is the worst factor leading to all possible diseases

Good article about blogging and stress. There’s stress when you’re first starting your blog, stress when growing it, stress while maintaining it, etc… It just never ends!

Blogging is my stress reliever. I blog after my morning coffee and my job paperwork is completed. I close the office door and relax into a blog post. If I have nothing to write about then I surf through my feed reader and read awesome blogs like yours

I think we’re on the same wavelength! I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately, and spending increasing amounts of time online. It seems to me that the successful bloggers are omnipresent on Twitter, in Facebook, etc. I too want to be successful, but as a Mom I want to have a healthy and full offline life as well. Ah, to strike that perfect balance!
