Twitter is an awesome social networking and micro blogging platform.Millions of users
are using Twitter to connect with friends,family,clients or with informative resources to share work,thoughts or the news etc.
If you are newbie at Twitter,you must like to find your friends or people to follow them.
Here is the step by step guide to find friends and likeminded people to follow on Twitter.

Search for an Individual Person
Select the “Find people” link in the upper right menu on your Twitter account . A new page with the people finder tool opens. Make sure the “Find on Twitter” tab is selected in the center of the page. If you know the name of the person you want to follow on Twitter, you can enter it directly into the search box. If that person used his real name to create his Twitter account, then you should be able to find him. If not, you’d need to know his Twitter ID or the name he used in his account to find him.
- Find Your Friends In Your Email Address Book
Click on “Find on other network” tab.Three Emails services are integrated on Twitter.When you sign in into your Email account,Twitter search your friends those are already using Twitter.You can then select which people you’d like to follow on Twitter.
- Invite people by Email
Click on “invite by email” tab.A text box appears to fill the email addresses of the people or friends you want to invite.Fill the email ID of the friend you want to invite.You can also invite multi email IDs by separating the email address with commas and click on the invite button.
- Twitter Suggestions
Click on the “Suggested Users” tab.The list of most famous twitter users appears with check box.If you’re interested in following any of the people on the list, simply select the box next to each user. A check box appears once the user has been selected. When you’re done selecting people, click the Follow button, and those people are instantly added to the list of people you’re following.

Good post dude. It will be helpful to mention about sites that automate things in twitter like adding friends automatically, removing those who are not following you,etc.
Never think of these tactics when I started using Twitter
I find that visit a popular blog in our niche, then read comments and visit their blogs to get the twitter profiles. Then retweet them so that they can recognize us and then they add us to their groups on TweetDeck or Twitter lists and so far.
