Good idea! Who doesn’t want to relax and energize the busy life?

Or our family? Every folk like vacations whether he/she spend the vacations with kids or friends on the beach in Goa or whether on a hill station like me.

Of course, we folks (Bloggers) need some energy to recharge our daily life. But if you are planning for the vacations then but about your blog?

You know that your blog is like as your baby (for me) and who will take care of your baby?

Don’t worry, I have some things here to take care of your blog while your vacations.

Yes, stop. Stop it. I am not kidding.

This is the most common approach that bloggers talk. But it can harmful to your blog. There is a big risk to loss the huge amount of blog traffic.

  • Use Scheduled Advanced Posts Feature:

WordPress has the ability for bloggers to write posts in advance and publish them later using schedule posts date stamp.

You just write your posts in advance and fill the desired publication dates and time and save them in the draft.

These posts will go live automatically on particular date and time which you have filled in publish later option.

If you have enough budgets for your blog then you can hire someone to take care of your blog during your vacations in your absence.

  • Blog on Road:

This is the best method to take care of your blog while you are on the vacations. If you are planning this option then don’t forget to pack your laptop, data card/GPRS or any other network connection and keep blogging whenever you get the time in the hotel or on the beach. Just blogging and blogging.

This is absolutely best way to keep blogging without any break.

If you follow last option then this is the best choice for you because you have the full control on your blog content, blog promotion and on your admin panel of your blog.

I am sure there are many other options to keep blogging continue while your vacations. I would encourage mentioning other options in the comment box. I’ll give the response and your comments will be inspire me to create new and more interesting blog post.

The most common practice which I do is schedule my post. To make most out of it , I always keep 20-30 ready to publish posts as draft. So if I had to come up with any unexpected vacation , I simple need to take out 2-3 minute to schedule those post. Or I can ask my co- editor to take care of it :)

Hi John !
Thank you for joining the discussion on technogati.
But I think Blogging On Road is better because if you have some posts in your draft then you can enjoy your vacations and blogging both at a time.
You can moderate your comments, feedbacks etc easily.

If there’s no internet connection I rather disconnect myself from my blog responsabilities.

I think it depends on what type of vacation you are going for. If it’s a trip to relax with your family I recommend you to travel without your computer since it will get to much attention. If you on the other hand are planning to travel for several weeks it might be a great idea to bring along your computer and blog about all the places you are visiting.
