You can capture the screen shots easily with Snipping Tool on Windows Vista. You can capture any shot or snip of any object on your screen then save or share the image with more formats like GIF, JPEG, PNG or HTML.

You can capture any of the following types of shots on the screen:

  • Free form shot: You can draw an irregular line such as a circle or a triangle around an object.
  • Rectangular Shot: You can draw a line by dragging the cursor around an object to form a rectangular.
  • Window shot: You can select a window such as a browser or a dialog box that you want to capture and save.
  • Full screen shot: Capture the entire screen when you select this type of shot.

After you capture a shot it’s automatically copied to a window where you can save or sharp the shot.

How to Find the Snipping Tool on Windows Vista:

1. Open Snipping Tool by clicking the Start button on Windows Vista, clicking ALL Programs, Clicking Accessories, and then clicking Snipping Tool.

2. Press ESC and open the menu that you want to capture.

3.Press CTRL+PRINT SCREEN

4. Select the type of Snip you want, and then capture.

Search “Snipping Tool” on your system using search then go into “File and Folder” and enable there.

It support all formats when you save it as Gif,JPG,PNG,or HTML format.

I used to use Windows Vista snipping tool some time back but I started using Snag it for more features and editing. IF you are stlll using Snipping tool, I will recommend give a try to Snag it.. It’s an amazing tool for us : Bloggers :)

It’s smart idea & really useful for all the bloggers who don’t have Snagit. Sure they will benefit. Inspite of its limitations, the advantages are far more than disadvantages
