MS Office
If you want to blog in professionally style you also requires Word,Power Point,Excel etc.
While blogging you might need screen capture tool to capture the screen shots or portion of a webpage.Snagit is really awesome screen capturing tool.

winrar is a must even you’re not professional bloggin same as firefox.. never try windows live writer before, maybe will try it just out of curiosity.
Currently I am using most of these, not to mention about Firefox, without which I can think about browsing
