Without readers the blog is just like as an old book of my grand-father which is lying in the dark room.
What is the future of news papers without readers? Think about it.
I want more readers for my blog but how can I find?
Here are the ways to find new blog readers:
- Commenting on related blogs: For me commenting on other blogs is the number one way to get more readers for my blog. When you comment on another blogs, you add your blog url in the comment form.This is the best and more effective method to get more readers. But make sure to comment on the blogs related to your blog niche.
- Online discussions: Join the discussion forums related your blog niche. Help to others on the discussion by solving their problems. Some discussion forums gives the opportunity to show your recent blog post title or signature links on your discussion pages.
- Social Networking: Social media is also the best tool to find new blog readers. Join some social networking sites like Facebook,Twitter or any other and be active there.You can publish your blog posts automatically on facebook or Tweet your blog posts on Twitter automatically from your blog.
- Blog Directory: Add the link with your blog description on some blog directories.
- Write Eye-Catching Post Titles: Posts headlines or titles can attract more readers for your blog. Write eye-catching posts titles like “Effective ways to find new blog readers for your blog” .
- Write Guest Posts: This is also effective way to get new blog readers for your blog. Write some effective blog posts and request the related bloggers of your niche to publish your posts on their blogs.If your blog posts publishes on some top blogs, you can get thousands of new blog readers for your blog.
- Join bloggers community: Join the community of bloggers like Mybloglog etc. and connect with other bloggers, make friend bloggers and share blog links, exchange comments, exchange re tweets with them.
- Run blog contests: Run blog contests for blog readers on your blog like “Participate in blog contest and win $30” and share with your friends and publish on your blog. This is also the effective way to find more blog readers.
- Search Engine Optimization: Search engines are the more effective method to get new blog readers. Optimize your blog for search engines like Google, Yahoo or Bing etc using some tactics .

I thinking commenting and SEO is the best way to generate readers.. My blog is only 2 months old now..but have started getting traffic of around 300/day. 75% is from search engines and about other 10% is through referrals from blogs where I comment..

Yes, finding new readers for blog is a challenging task but it can be more enjoyable if we apply innovative ways.
Posting good comments on Related Blogs surely gets you good traffic. Also, Writing catchy Article titles interests the audience and they may want to read more and more articles on your blog.

My August traffic was like this:
Direct traffic: 22%
Search engines: 43%
Referring sites: 34%
So in my case, I guess I receive more hits from search engines than referrering sites (usually comments, I’d guess).
