When you are receiving an email, you have to consider the title or the subject of the message before you take actions based on what is in the email. Cyber crime is increasing at an alarming rate as the day goes on and people like you and me receive deceitful emails regularly. Their main aim is to extort money from us by trying to steal valuable information from us and then use it to get back at us when they feel that it is okay for them. Hackers have attempted to hack me once when I was working for an insurance company in my country before I quitted to starting my coupon and discount voucher blog, gravity defyer and 48hourprint but I’ve been smart enough to avoid them.

Identify the Email Address of the Sender

Always double check the links claiming to be you ISP, Paypal support and so. With this, you can be able to identify the type of people that sent the email to you in order to avoid the bad people. Hackers can do anything to hurt their victims and that is why you need to protect yourself at all times. Emailing is another way hackers use to attract their victims to submit their information in order to stumble upon them.

If you receive an email from an unknown source, the best way to identify the sender of that email is by checking the sender’s email address. Most emailing platforms like Gmail and Yahoomail normally hide the option. However, you can still access this feature in your email by clicking on the ‘show details’ button above the message box. And it will show you the real sender of the email so that you would be able to track who sent you the message in order to avoid phishing emails.

In addition, email providers these days have started using systems to combat spamming mails. Google on its side has a system in place that helps users to differentiate phishing emails from a normal email. If you are using Google’s gmail, there are chances you must have been warned that particular emails you are viewing may not be from who it claims to be from. Therefore, if you heed to the warning from Google’s gmail you can be assured of a secured internet experience. In addition, other email clients like Yahoomail and others support this feature too.

Use Spam Filtering Software

Another technique to use to stay ahead of all forms of online phishing attack is by using an email filtering software. On the internet today, you can get anything you want once you have the right information at your disposal. Getting email-filtering software will save you a lot of time in checking spam emails because the software can help you filter the good and the bad emails respectively. Some powerful antivirus programs also work as email filtering software in most cases. You can download and install a strong antivirus that has online protection features on your computer and start enjoying a spam-free internet experience.

Check the Company’s or Person’s Details on Google

If someone claims to be sending you an email from a reputable organization, instead of wasting your time fretting over the situation, you can use Google more information about the company or person in question. Enter the claimed details into google search box and check if there is someone bearing that name in that particular company. And if it is not, you can then stay away from clicking the links in that email to avoid going to the wrong place.

You may have just got married and are thinking to purchase an automobile. Or, maybe you just bought a house, and are also looking for a new or used car (you know, to kind of go along with it). Well www.unocardealers.com offers a large inventory of cars, right in your city, for you to choose from.

Shopping for cars???? Here is how you can do it at the site………

When you enter your zip code, you can see all the cars for sale near that zip code. You can also choose multiple makes and models – like a Jeep Cherokee, a Ford Windstar and a Oldsmobile Intrigue – all in one search. Like a new car that you see? You can get more details about the car you see online by contacting the seller directly. You may also get the car at the price you want, by making an offer to the seller.

But, just how many cars are listed there?

There are numerous car owners and dealers listing their cars for sale at every city (event he smaller ones), throughout the country. So, you will be able to choose from a large number of cars, whether you are looking for cars in San Jose, CA, or in Las Vegas, NV. As of this time, the site has over 875,000 cars from more than 9800 dealers across the country, apart from cars for sale by owners. And, these numbers are growing consistently on a monthly basis. Moreover, all the cars from dealers are updated daily, so any car that you see on the site is probably available for sale. (You save time, as you only shop for cars that are available).

Do you want to conveniently find cars in your city in the site? See the city specific page of your site. Over 750 cities in the country have a page in the site, so it is quite possible that the city you live in has a page for itself. You can find the city page for your city from http://www.unocardealers.com/us/ – from here you can easily browse to the pages for Oakland, CA, and Boise, ID – for example.

But, I am already talking to a dealer……

Already talking to someone to buy a new or used car? You could probably get a similar car for a lower price at www.unocardealers.com. Cars for sale by owners are usually cheaper. But cars by dealers will offer more choices – both in terms of the accessoried and the number of cars to choose from. So now, you could choose between cars by dealers and cars by owners (actually, you may not have to choose one of them. You could search for both on the site).

Trying to find considerations on auto selling, auto buying, vehicle loan information, vehicle insurance plans advice or simply advice on vehicle repair and maintenance? Find it all at http://www.unocardealers.com. People obtained excellent savings strategies from these tips, on several aspects of their car. For example, for suggestions about shopping for a automotive, there are tips on test driving a pre-owned car, and finding out if the automobile has been flooded. There is also information on getting an extended warranty, and how the automotive report helps in shopping for a previously owned automobile. Even if you are not in the market for automotive insurance cover, automotive loans, to buy or to sell a vehicle, these tips will help you in the future. Read them now, and stay informed.

An educational technology degree can pave the way for jobs in the government, corporate world, non-profit sector, as well as institutes of higher education.

According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, “more Americans are going online to conduct such day-to-day activities as education, business transactions, personal correspondence, research and information-gathering, and job searches. Each year, being digitally connected becomes ever more critical to economic and educational advancement and community participation.” In light of this trend, when reshaping the education system trained professionals should influence how schools can evolve in the 21st century. How can we help schools adapt to these changes in society so our children can be prepared? Educators and administrators will need the best possible preparation going forward.

Impact The Evolution Of Education With An Educational Technology Degree

An educational technology degree can pave the way for jobs in the government, corporate world, non-profit sector, as well as institutes of higher education. Numerous online degree programs exist for anyone wishing to study for an educational technology degree.

Educational technology is more than working with computers and technology-based teaching tools. Educational technology careers involve the use of technology, and its range of instructional applications, to develop tools designed to maximize the effectiveness of the teaching process while enhancing the learning experience.

Training in education technology is also useful for people who want to work in the corporate world, government agencies, the non-profit sector, and healthcare. Consider the implications of rapidly advancing technology on curriculum design and corporate training and development programs. Pharmaceutical companies, medical centers and hospitals must constantly keep their personnel current on the latest developments in the healthcare industry and individuals trained in education technology will utilize the latest technology in audio, video, and computer science to fill that need.

Online education from elementary to the Ph.D level is now available. E-learning and distance learning are also growing trends. Research institutes and facilities also depend heavily upon educational technology to help devise grant applications that fund important research. All of these fields require the kind of skills you can develop with an educational technology degree.

How to Get Started

There is no special certification necessary for educational technology specialists unless they wish to teach, in which case licensure is granted by the state. You can pursue an education at traditional schools or in online program. A great first step is using a career resource site to explore different schools and programs. Try to find a comprehensive list of schools that offer the degree you’re looking for. You can also speak with faculty members or currently enrolled students to get a feel for what the program will be like. Remember, both traditional and online degree programs exist.

Technology plays a vital role in our future and technology education is critically important. Gilbert Valdez, Ph.D., director of North Central Regional Technology in Education Consortium and co-director of North Central Eisenhower Mathematics and Science Consortium (NCEMSC) observes that “100 high-tech executives met with President Bush to discuss the future of technology: They indicated that improving mathematics and science education ranked next to national security.” Technology integration specialists, teachers, directors of technology, and others with educational technology degrees will be the ones who prepare 21st century students for a digital world.

About the Author

Anthony Sills is a staff writer for Teacher Certification Degrees, a career resource site providing information on how to earn an educational technology degree.

If truth be told, bloggers have never had it so good. It’s easier than ever to get your message out there, while advances in social networks and improvements in search engine technology mean it’s easier than ever to get your blog out thee to the right people. But when it comes to hardware, what are the blogger’s best options?

Smartphones

If you don’t mind either an ion-screen or teeny tiny keyboard, it’s now possible to blog to your heart’s content on your smartphone. Some of the key blog sites such as WordPress have dedicated apps for smartphones, while the proliferation of sites such as Google’s Blogger makes the process incredibly simple.

On top of that, smartphones have great access to social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as the likes of Flickr and YouTube for those wanting to add images or video. And seeing as pretty much every smartphone worth its salt can now record video in HD, you’re onto a real winner.

The last obvious benefit is price. Data is included in most smartphone contracts now, and the web experience is stripped down to use less data, so all round you can save a bomb over getting a separate mobile broadband contract.

Tablets

However, for many, regular use of a smartphone is simply too fiddly. Luckily now though, if you want that app-based experience on a bigger screen, the tablet revolution has answered your prayers.

With all the access and functionality of a smartphone, but in a slightly bigger case, tablets offer a great middle ground. Great for internet access and social networking, while still having cameras on board, tablets also have the wow factor right now, so are a good all round gadget to have – while at seven to 10 inches, they’re extremely portable.

Laptops

But if you can afford the weight and space on the move, the good old laptop really brings a little more to the party; bigger screen, full internet and PC/Mac experience and most importantly, proper keyboard.

Also, if you’ve advanced to a more complex blogging experience beyond the basic free packages, you’re much more likely to be able to fully utilise all of your blog’s back end functionality through a blog. Not to mention more advanced social networking functionality.

Hybrids

Finally, it’s worth pointing out that some of this year’s gadgets are blurring the boundaries between these different kinds of portable computer and are definitely worth checking out, especially for bloggers.

First there’s the Motorola Atrix, a nifty full-functioned Android smartphone that you can also turn into a netbook (via an accessory you can add on), as well as being able to plug it into your TV (via another accessory) for that full-screen experience.

Then there’s the Acer Eee Pad Transformer; a super slim Android tablet with a 10-inch screen that can be bought with a snap-on full QWERTY keyboard for when the on-screen keyboard really won’t do.

In the end though, it really comes down to personal taste. But at least we have a fantastic range of options to choose from, with everything from two-inch smartphones to 20-inch laptops now able to help get you blogging on the move.

If you’re a blogger with a smartphone, you’ve likely utilized one of the numerous mobile apps to make your phone a second home to your blogging. We use our smartphones to house tons of personal information from financial information to phone numbers to email correspondence and everything in between. With so much information at stake, it’s crucial that you keep your smartphone and the information within secure from theft or manipulation. Luckily there are several dependable mobile security apps across all major operating systems—below are a just a few to choose from.

Lookout Mobile Security

Lookout Mobile Security is a wildly popular app offered for Android phones. You can download the app for free and try out the many services included in this single app. Lookout Mobile Security offers protection against spyware and malware filled websites by filtering out sites with dubious content. You can arrange to have your personal information only load to certain apps and websites, thereby eliminating the chance that you accidentally enter sensitive information. The app also has a backup feature where you can store new data from your smartphone to your personal computer, ensuring that you have your information even if your phone is lost.

The tracking system is perhaps the app’s most interesting feature. If your smartphone is misplaced or stolen, you can logon to Lookout Mobile Security’s website to track the exact GPS location of your phone. If you suspect that the phone has been stolen, you can choose to wipe your phone’s data remotely or sound an alarm to alert others of the theft.

Mobile Me (Find my iPhone)

Apple’s Mobile Me service for their iPhone comes with a security app called Find my iPhone. This service is Apple’s answer to Android’s abovementioned security app, with many similar features. If your iPhone is lost, you can track it down to an exact location using Google Maps’ GPS. You can remotely set a password for your iPhone to protect it from potential thieves, or you can send out a message asking to have the phone returned to its owner. Should you think that your phone is in danger of being accessed, you can also wipe the data from your computer before anyone gets a chance to unlock it.

Anti-Virus Free

Anti-Virus Free (and its non-free components) is a great app for keeping your smartphone free of viruses. Unfortunately smartphones can contract viruses from malicious apps just as easily as it can contract them from shady websites. With Anti-Virus free, you can select a website, app, or email to scan for potentially dangerous spyware. If your smartphone happens to have some malicious programs hidden away, the app will find them out and eliminate them from your phone. The paid app offers more rigorous virus protection, but the free app is a worthwhile choice if you want to scan your smartphone for viruses.

1Password

1Password, available for both iPhone and Android platforms, works as a well-protected storage house for all your sensitive information. You can store your passwords, financial figures, social security information, important phone numbers, etc. You can choose to have this information load automatically into the designated areas, or just use 1Password to refer back to your information. The app secures your information behind two lines of defense—a four-digit code and another password—to ensure maximum security. With the number of services that require username/password identification, this application is a no-brainer to ensure that you keep your information on hand and safe from others.

The nature of communication has undergone a massive revolution with the advent of electronic mail or email. While it has made both personal and work life much more organized and easy to monitor, the deep penetration of email brings with it the lure of millions of potential customers for unethical marketing professionals. Spam or unsolicited bulk email is the most annoying aspect of modern electronic communication, with your inbox being flooded with messages offering everything from performance enhancement drugs to miracle cures for impotence. In addition to the obviously unwelcome nature of these messages, they also eat into your productivity and peace of mind by cluttering your inbox, forcing you to manually identify and delete them. Here are three simple ways through which you can avoid spam.

1. Keep Your Primary Email Address Private

Most spammers and spamming software gather email addresses from places where you might have left it without thinking about it. Avoid using your email address on forums, discussion groups, and in your signature line. Since most spamming attempts look for the @ symbol, spell out AT and DOT in order to minimize the chance of your address being automatically picked up by searching. You may want to set up alternate “disposable” email addresses in order to join forums and portals which require an email ID.

2. Review the Settings for Your Profiles
Most networking websites display details about you as a part of your public profile. Websites that respect your privacy will give you control over these settings. By default, many of these profiles are set to display your contact information to anyone who views your profile. Go to the settings option for your profile and ensure that your primary email address is not visible on your public profile. When joining a website, review its privacy policy. If it does not have one, steer clear. If it does, read through the fine print. Many joining forms have a default condition that allows their partners to email you with offers. If there is an option to opt out of this condition, make use of it.

3. Use Filters Efficiently
Most email service providers offer built-in spam protection. Make sure your spam protection is turned on, and preferably set to a high level of security. Make it a point to review your spam folder frequently, since important mails might get picked up by the automatic spam protection and land up there instead of showing up in your inbox. Many email providers offer features that let you filter your incoming emails. Use these for spam that lands in your inbox to create filters for messages like it. You can specify sender, subject line, keywords, etc., as criteria for creating these filters, and you can direct these mails to trash or spam folders.
Spam protection begins and ends with educating yourself and others about email hygiene or safe practices. Never open unfamiliar emails with links to sites in them, inviting you to check out photos or websites. Never use your primary email to subscribe to bulk newsletters. Avoid clicking on the unsubscribe link of spam mails since they only end up confirming your address as an active and valid one. With these basic tools under your belt, you will be able to avoid incoming spam, and ensure that you are not setting yourself up for more spam going forward.
