Blogging Mistakes I Don’t Want to Repeat

In my early days of blogging I have done number of mistakes in the blogging field which were responsible to mislead me in the blogging field.Today I want to share my own  points which were responsible to divert my track of blogging one topic to another.

You might be thinking that you are perfect blogger like Amit Agrawal,Darren Rowse or  Pete Cashsmore but my dear blogger friends blogging field is not a small field,It’s like an ocean where you have to sail your boat in the right direction.If you sail your boat without roadmap,you can lost your path and your life can be spoiled in the ocean.

So what to do ?

I am putting here the list of blogging mistakes  done in the past.You can learn many things to sail your boat (blog) in the right direction to achieve right destination.

Here are some of my blogging tips  I didn’t apply:

  • Don’t change your blogging niche.
  • Don’t change the writing frequency.
  • Keep in touch with your blog readers as well as your friend bloggers.
  • Respond to your blog commenter.
  • Welcome to your post tweeters or Facebook re share buddies.
  • Publish blog posts frequently with set post rhythm.
  • Don’t go offline when someone want to get in touch with you.
  • Try to go online at least ones a day on Facebook,Twitter or on another social networking platform.
  • Don’t change the layout of your blog frequently.
  • Don’t change the theme of your blog too frequently.
  • Don’t change your voice and styles of blogging.

There are many more mistakes done by me in the blogging field but I can’t share all the points due to limitations of this post.

If you’ll repeat the mistakes like me,you can lost the direction of your blogging boat.So what you have to decide ? Depends on you.

I agree with you that we should publish the blog post frequently. This can keep our readers keep coming to our blog. Another important thing that we should not do is to spam others blog. This will badly influence our personal brand in blogosphere.

These are common mistakes committed by starters. As for the post frequency and set rhythm etc. they are mainly in the context of professional bloggers who have traffic and conversion oriented targets. Blogging by definition is pretty arbitrary way of writing and hence not a must to have post frequency. But it will definitely affect SEO and traffic.

Surender I am your regular post reader, before 5 months I remember technogati alexa ranikng near 30K, but due to these mistakes it came to near 120K..

Publishing post frequently is the toughest job for a blogger. I used to publish a post daily at first but later I became lazy and my habit got chagned :(

Thank you for sharing your past mistakes. My two biggest blogging problems are frequency and that I am not much of a writer. Those make it very hard to keep readers coming back.
