Mistake #1:Topic you have no Interest in
For a successful blog you need a topic of interest.If you want to sustain it choose something in which you have interest or you love for and start blogging
Mistake#2 : Not Useful Content
If you are writing something on your blog,make sure your content should be problem solved.This can convert your blog visitors to loyal readers.
Mistake #3: Not Blogging Regularly
Some blogger makes the biggest mistake but they doesn’t realize.They don’t write regular posts.Make your habit to write daily.

Blog on your own domain which hosted on your server can give more control over the blog instead of using multi blog service providers.
Mistake #5 : Writing for Search Engines only
Some new bloggers doesn’t care about readers they only runs to get more search engine traffic so they uses some rich keywords in the post without making the real sense.This way they writes for search engines not for real human.Avoid keywords stuffing.

Some bloggers doesn’t care about the design,color combination and navigation of their blog.They uses too many widgets,buttons on their blogs.keep your blog theme simple.
Mistake #8 : Thinking You Have to Know it All
Learning is a life long process,so be interact with your readers,share ,discuss about your experiences of blogging.This way you can learn more things.Let your readers to leave a comment and reply to others on your blog.
Mistake #9 : Making New Content Hard to Discover
Your blog won’t be very helpful to readers if they aren’t able to easily find new content. Make sure your new content should be published on your front page with easily navigation.
Mistake #10 : Blogging without Goals
Some bloggers doesn’t put their goals on the paper.For a successful blog make the list of your goals and focus on those goals,carry on your blogging with keeping those goals in your mind.

Layout only works best if you have already a massive readers. It is important so that your readers would also like the looks of the blog. However, for SEO- I think layout doesn’t matter much… It’s the contents of the blog which needs much attention…

Indeed I agree with all of this. I think for me the biggest lesson I learnt about blogging is that you need to put alot of time into it especially when starting out you will only get out of this blogging game, what you put in. Don’t step up to the keyboard lightly if you’re going to blog, blog hard.
