Election fever had started now in India and many people who are using internet regularly can see internet advertisement of L K Advani,Rahul Gandhi,Sonia Gandhi and some other leading politician of India. Now the question is that will this active campaign can change voters mind or can this provide more information about candidate / party or this will really turning point to get more influence?
Now in India old Election campaign methods are gone.No Rath Yatra no road shows.But now new way of campaign over the Internet.
Even our Indian politicians published their blogs.
So has they suddenly become tech savy? My perception is that they are trying to copy Obama. Obama used the net beautifully to raise funds and awareness about his campaign and gather support.
VJP senior leader launched his own website and blog.Even he using chat session with users.
But in India there are small community of internet users.
It is too low to make a significant impact on the final result. It would be interesting to find out what % of internet users vote in India.
