Go on Yahoo to design a Pingbox – pick a background theme or color and the text style.
Add a display name – the name for you that other people will see. We recommend choosing a different name from your Yahoo! ID.
Write a quick greeting.
Under Save Pingbox as:, give your Pingbox a name. You’ll see this name listed as a group in your Contacts List if you’re using the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger. Since you can have more than one Pingbox on more than one web site, give this one a name you recognize that connects it to that site. For example, PB on my Y!Profile.
Click Next.
Now you can choose the social network, blog or other personal web page you want to put the Pingbox on, and get the HTML code for it. Follow the instructions to take this code and paste it onto that site.
Sign into Yahoo! Messenger. If you’re using the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger 9.0, you’ll see your new Pingbox as a new group in your Contacts List, under the name you chose for it.
