Of all the reasons you gave for why people unsubscribe from an RSS feed, my number one reason would be the content. I suspect most people subscribe to a blog because that blog is either highly entertaining or else that blog is a source of high level information. Let’s face it. Most blogs are not that entertaining. As a result, my position is that most people are subscribing because they like the content that a site provides. If your site doesn’t provide as high of quality as the content on a new site that I find, I may very well switch to subscribing to that one instead of yours.
Over-posting is definitely a deterrent too. Do you really have that much knowledge to share that you have to post that often. I would much rather wait for a nice and juicy piece that I feel was an efficient use of my time. I hate having to dig through layers of crap to find a nugget of useful information.

Overposting and Affiliate contents is the main reason why I unsubscribe. I hate it when bloggers simply begin to post to sell something. Overposting is another big put-off, but if the content is useful – I don’t mind.

Low quality of content is the reason why i unsubscribe the feed. Usually, i will just look at the title of the feed and decide whether to read it or not. Therefore, the title is very important!
